Schools Closed Due to Outage

As a result of the outage, Grand Blanc Community Schools dismissed students early from nine of its 13 buildings:

  • Grand Blanc High School
  • East Middle School
  • Bobcat Innovation
  • Brendel Elementary
  • Cook Elementary
  • Indian Hill Elementary
  • Mason Elementary
  • Myers Elementary
  • Holy Family Catholic School

The following remained open:

  • West Middle School
  • Anderson Elementary
  • McGrath Elementary
  • Reid Elementary

In addition, Atherton Community Schools also dismissed students at 10 a.m. due to power issues.

No Significant Weather-Related Factor

Despite the downtime, the breakdown was not directly associated with any severe weather occurrences on ABC12. It seemed to be purely an equipment problem.
