Sabrina Carpenter has made Valentine’s Day even sweeter for fans with the release of Short n Sweet Deluxe. This expanded version of her Grammy-winning album includes five new tracks, including a special duet with the legendary Dolly Parton on Please Please Please.

A Novel Approach to “Please Please Please”

When Carpenter revealed the partnership on social media, he shocked followers by tweeting, “Yes, that does say including Miss Dolly Parton. Holy shit! She wouldn’t want me to use profanity. Jack Antonoff produced the song at first, but Parton’s distinctive vocals have since added a distinctive country tinge.

“I have a fun idea, babe, maybe just stay inside/I know you’re craving some fresh air/But the ceiling fan is so nice,” Parton sings before joining Carpenter in the catchy chorus. Antonoff had previously hinted at the song’s “Dolly feeling,” and this new rendition makes that connection official.
